Basantapur is the main area for the tourist to visit. In
basantapur there is nine storeyed residence built by king Prithivi Narayan Shah
in 1770, called Basantapur durbar.Even it is known as kathmandu Durbar Square .
In Basantapur there are lots of temples Kumari Ghar, Kasthamandap, Shiv- Parbati Temple, Jagannath Temple , Big Bell etc.And Inside the Durbar there are
many chowk name as Nasal chowk, Mul Chowk, Sundari chowk, Lohan chowk, Mohan
Chowk, etc.There is popular temples inside the durbar named as Talaju Temple
